On July 6th 2015 we have
arranged a Guest Lecture for B.A students of economics on “Globalisation - Impact on Indian Economy”. The resource person is Dr. S.Subbalakshmi ,Senior
Faculty , Sri Medha Institutions.
On
September 22nd 2015 we have arranged a Guest
Lecture for B.A students of economics on
“MAKE IN INDIA”. The resource person is Dr.D. Paparao garu .
On 19th
& 20th August 2015 , with a view to educate the students in
various dimensions the department has organised a ‘Leadership Training Camp for
college students in collaboration with M.R. Pai foundation , Mumbai
On
29th September 2015 Jointly with Forum Of Free Enterprise, Mumbai ,
the Department of Economics has conducted The 51st A.D. Shroff Memorial Elocution Competition .
On 9th December 2016
students of IIIBA visited KCP Cement .Macerla and Nagarjuna sagar dam. which
was financially supported by UGC.
INPUT OF THE TOUR
Industry visits sensitize students to the
practical challenges that organizations face in the business world. Industrial
visits also give greater clarity about various management concepts for students
as they can practically see how these concepts are put into action.
Visits to manufacturing firms are useful
for students. to understand the nuances and realities of the shopfloor, which
in itself is a rare exposure. By visiting the shop floor they get to understand
the risky conditions in which workers work, the people management challenges
involved in managing workers apart from getting hands-on technical
knowledge.
Industrial
visit has its own importance in a career of a student who is pursuing a
professional degree. It is considered as a part of college curriculum.
Objectives
of industrial visit
To
provide students an insight regarding internal working of companies.
Theoretical knowledge is not enough for making
a good professional career.
With
an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visit provides student a practical
perspective on the world of work.
It
provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction,
working methods and employment practices.
It gives them exposure to current work
practices as opposed to possibly theoretical knowledge being taught at college.
Industrial visits provide an excellent
opportunity to interact with industries and know more about industrial
environment.
Industrial visits are arranged by colleges to
students with an objective of providing students functional opportunity in different sector.
Industrial visit helps to combine theoretical
knowledge with industrial knowledge.
Industrial
realities are opened to the students through industrial visits.

A Greenfield plant setup in 2011
is one of India’s most modern, highly automated, cost efficient and Eco
Friendly plant with an annual capacity 1.86 m tons expandable to 3 m tons.
The plant is also enhanced with Captive
Power Generation of about 20 MW (Thermal & Solar).
